Abstract
Recent results show that the cleavage of oligomeric and polymeric thioformaldehydes or polymethylene-disulfide by sodium in liquid ammonia, followed by treatment with an excess of hydrochloric acid, leads to the formation of mercaptothioethers, CH3(SCH2)nSH, bis-mercaptothioethers, HS(CH2S)mH and thioalkanes, CH3(SCH2)xSCH3. The identification and isolation of various components of these mixtures are described. The separation of pure 1.3.5-trithiapentane by silylation, distillation and cleavage with hydrogen chloride is of interest for its synthesis starting from easily available compounds like s-trithiane, poly-methylenesulfide or polymethylenedisulfide. The silylated derivatives of 1.3.5-trithiahexane and 1.3.5-trithiapentane are described.
Die Spaltung von oligomeren und polymeren Thioformaldehyden oder Polymethylendisulfid mit Natrium in flüssigem Ammoniak, mit anschließender Umsetzung mit überschüssiger Salzsäure, führt nach neuesten Untersuchungen zu Mercaptothioethern, CH3(SCH2)nSH, Bis-mercaptothioethern, HS(CH2S)mH und Thioalkanen CH3(SCH2)xSCH3. Die Identifizierung und Isolierung der verschiedenen Komponenten dieser Gemische werden beschrieben. Die Abtrennung von reinem 1.3.5-Trithiapentan durch Silylierung, Destillation und Rückspaltung mit Chlorwasserstoff ist für dessen Synthese, ausgehend von leicht zugänglichen Verbindutigen wie 1.3.5-Trithian, Polymethylensulfid oder Polymethylendisulfid, von Interesse. Die Silyderivate von 1.3.5-Trithiahexan und 1.3.5-Trithiapentan werden beschrieben.
